The perfect holiday location. 45 minutes from Faro airport, the Hotel Garbe commands a prime position with stunning panoramic views over the bay of the Algarvean village of Armacao de Pera.
The hotel is ideally located for a peaceful holiday, yet lies within strolling distance of shops, restaurants and entertainment. It is also an excellent base from which to explore the Algarve, with regular bus services to nearby towns and villages.
From almost every angle guests enjoy breathtaking ocean views of the sparkling Atlantic. Direct access from the hotel leads straight to the magnificent sandy beach, one of the longest in the Algarve. Here, local fishermen can still be seen mending their nets and selling their catch to the local market.

Restaurants and Bars
Both restaurants boast fabulous sea views. Enjoy international and Portuguese cuisine at the Por do Sol or choose from the extensive menu at the Raj at Garbe - the best Indian restaurant in town. The Por do Sol is open every day from 08:00 to 10:30 for breakfast and from 13:00 to 14:00 for lunch. Dinner is served from 19:00 to 21:30. Please note that the Raj Indian Restaurant is closed on Mondays and open every other day from 18:30 to 23:00. Afternoon tea and biscuits are included in the room rate for all guests staying between 1 November 2008 and 31 March 2009.
Directions
From Faro Airport (45 km):
- When leaving the airport, proceed to the main road (E.N .125) and follow signs towards Portimao and Lisboa/ Espanha IP1 (A22).
- Take motorway (A 22) towards Lisboa and Portimao.
- Keep on the motorway towards Portimao until the Alcantarilha/ Armacao de Pera exit.
- At the large roundabout, follow the sign to Armacao de Pera.
- Continue until Alcantarilha.
- At the Alcantarilha roundabout, turn right for Armação de Pêra (it is signposted).
- Follow straight ahead; you will pass 6 roundabouts.
- On the 7th roundabout, turn left and follow the road until the seafront road.
- The white building across the road in front of you at this moment is the Hotel Garbe.
- Turn left, then right into the main entrance.
Alternatively, you can take a taxi from the airport. The journey takes about 45 minutes.
